What is Community Connections for Children?

Caring for children for over 30 years

Community Connections for Children, Inc. (CCC) is a non-profit child care resource and referral agency, founded in 1987. As the Early Learning Resource Center (ELRC) for Regions 9 and 10 in Pennsylvania, CCC serves Adams, Cumberland, Dauphin, Lancaster, Lebanon, Perry and York Counties. ELRCs provide a single point-of-contact for families, early learning service providers, and communities to gain information and access services that support high-quality child care and early learning programs.  Through the administration of both the Child Care Works and Keystone STARS programs, ELRCs create an enhanced resource and referral system for communities seeking early learning services and supports.

CCC helps parents find and evaluate child care options and offers financial assistance through the Child Care Works Subsidized Child Care Program. For child care providers, CCC offers training and technical assistance. Additionally, CCC works with employers interested in promoting work/life balance, provides leadership to community-supported child care initiatives and advocates on behalf of child care issues at the local, state, and national level.

CCC works collaboratively with child care providers, parents, government, businesses and community leaders to assure that all families have access to affordable high quality child care. The board and staff at CCC believe that the children of today are critical to our future and recognize that parents, as diverse individuals, have the right and responsibility to make choices for their children’s future.
